Vic Toney (6-1-1, 5 KO's) will look to add to the recent waves the Youngstown boxing scene has created as he heads to Las Vegas to take on 2020 Tokyo Olympian, Tory Isley of Alexandria, VA at Resorts World.
Isley, 23, is 6-0 is 6-0 as a professional with 4 wins coming by way of knockout.
Though Isley who fights for Top Rank Promotions will be a tough test for Toney, the Youngstown native is no stranger to challenges having gone the distance in defeat to the current WBC Interim World Super Welterweight champion, Sebastian Fundora back in 2017.
Toney, 34, will be entering the ring for the first time since scoring a KO victory over Joel Guevera in July of 2021. A victory for Toney, who trains at Youngstown Salem Boxing Club, will open many doors for the fighter who has shown flashes of potential greatness.
The scheduled 6-round middleweight fight will be broadcasted live this Saturday, August 13 on ESPN+ on the undercard of the Teofimo Lopez-Pedro Campa bout.
